Exploring Home Visiting Issues & Concerns CT Parents Plus, in cooperation with the Stratford Parents' Place, is sponsoring a workshop to discuss the "up and downs" of home visiting. Parent educators involved in ANY home visiting program are welcomed to attend. A light breakfast will be served. The program will be held at the Stratford Parents' Place, Stratford Academy-Johnson House, 719 Birdseye Street, in Stratford from 10:00 am to noon on Tuesday, February 20, 2001. Sexuality Education: Democracy and Diversity This workshop features a variety of interactive techniques aimed at exploring ones personal values and attitudes about diversity and how this plays out in the classroom or group setting. This training will take place on Friday, February 23, 2001 from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm at the Savin Rock Conference Center in West Haven. The cost is $85. Pre-registration is required. This training will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm at the Savin Rock Conference Center in West Haven. The cost is $85. Pre-registration is required. Child Welfare League of America, Annual Conference This three-day conference focuses on helping providers connect with those in their community who are driven by the same cause as a means to helping teens avoid unintended pregnancy and STDs. Waterford Drop-In Center The Waterford Youth Service Bureau sponsors a Drop-In Teen Center weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm and on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
